Also, the SM Bus Controller device isn't using any resources because it has a problem. Updating driver software failed and getting the message 'Windows was unable to install SM Bus Controller. I have installed all drivers for my Asus G74SX Win 7, everything works fine. But still in the device manager a question near the 'SM BUS CONTROLLER', seems like searched the whole internet drivers and still didn't find them. If someone knows where to download the drivers, please reply. SM Bus - S ystem M anagement Bus. This is part of the chipset, and, as such, controller and driver issues for it are resolved by installing (or updating) your motherboard chipset drivers. Since you haven't given any information about the make/model number of your motherboard (other than it's an LGA 1155 with an Intel H67 chipset).

Device Manager displays an exclamation point for the SMBus controller or lists it under Other Devices.
How to fix it
Download and run the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility so Windows* properly recognizes the SMBus controller.
Note | SMBus is the System Management Bus used in personal computers and servers for low-speed, system management communications. A SMBus controller is integrated into most Intel® chipsets. |
